We are looking for a Social Media Manager to lead NCG’s social media presence and develop compelling content and campaigns that strengthen our brand and amplify member co-op stories across multiple platforms.

This role is responsible for developing and executing NCG’s social media strategy to increase brand awareness, strengthen audience engagement, and support organizational goals. This is an ideal position for an experienced social media professional who excels at developing engaging content, building online communities, and using data-driven insights to amplify the impact of community-owned grocery stores.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a social media content strategy across social platforms aligned with NCG’s brand, voice, and business objectives.
- Create and maintain a social media content calendar, ensuring consistent messaging, campaign alignment and execution.
- Develop and publish day-to-day organic and paid engaging posts, stories, and short-form videos across NCG’s social media platforms including Facebook, YouTube, and Instagram, that reflect business objectives, incorporate trends and audience insights, and build awareness for NCG and member co-ops.
- Lead end-to-end content development, including creation of posts, graphics, short-form video, and coordination with internal creative services and external vendors and agencies as needed.
- Define, track, analyze and report on social media performance (including engagement, reach, growth, and paid media results), and translate insights into actionable recommendations.
- Conduct social listening to monitor brand sentiment and audiences’ conversation and apply insights to inform content and campaign planning.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications or a related field, and 5 years equivalent professional experience in experience in social media marketing or 7 years equivalent professional experience in social media marketing.
- Demonstrated experience managing both organic and paid social strategies.
- Strong content creation skills, using graphics and written copy.
- Proficiency in content creation tools including Canva, Adobe Express, or similar platforms; experience with short-form video creation and editing (CapCut, native platform tools, or equivalent); working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite.
- Experience with social media management and analytics platforms such as Sprout Social, Hootsuite, or similar; proficiency with Meta Ads Manager and equivalent paid social platforms.
- Up to 5% business travel is required, including overnights and weekends.

The salary for this position is $101,614.
