Job Openings and Career Opportunities For African American Job Seekers

The United States Census Bureau is Hiring for their 2020 Census (The Easiest Government Job Ever!)

In advance of the 2020 Census, the U.S. Census Bureau is recruiting thousands of people for temporary jobs across the country. Every 10 years since the year 1790, the U.S. government has undertaken the task of counting and gathering other important details about it's citizens. Current job openings include census takers, recruiting assistants, office staff and supervisory staff.
These positions provide the perfect opportunity to earn some extra income while helping your community. The results of the 2020 Census will help determine each state’s representation in Congress, as well as how certain funds are spent for schools, hospitals, roads, and more. This is your chance to play a part in history and help ensure that everyone in your community is counted!

Working for the Census Bureau gives you the opportunity to put your skills to work in a challenging environment where innovation is part of the mission. The Census Bureau provides you with the opportunity to survey the horizon, from coast-to-coast and door-to-door, in business and in industry.

To be eligible, you must be at least 18 years old, have a valid Social Security number, and be a U.S. citizen.

In addition, most jobs require employees to have access to a vehicle and a valid driver’s license, unless public transportation is readily available. Also, applicants must have access to a computer with internet and an email account (to complete training).
